Missed the deadline to submit your work for the Black Girls Write Contest? You can still submit your essay or up to three poems for possible publication between December 1, 2021 and January 31, 2022.

The nonprofit started as a result of weekly writing sessions at the Juvenile Justice Center in Dayton, Ohio, and two years later, in November 2019, the focus shifted to publishing Thirteen2Nineteen: A Literary Magazine for Black Girls & Teens.
